As a long time VT fan, all I can say is good rittins (spelling?). The "thug metality" has gotten way out of hand at Virginia Tech and the alums as well as the University staff are sick of it. Vick has proven time and time again that he has no class and obviously no brain. Im sure the people writing the checks out to the school are a big part of this decision.

So since gcdevil22 was saying they'd decided to give him a one game suspension, does this mean Vick decided to enter the draft and they're trying to save face?

This is not an "over-reaction" by the Administration. He was given a set of "rules" to follow a long time ago. He knew that he couldn't screw up again...well, he did...twice (speeding ticket on revoked license and the stomp). Dr. Steger said enough is enough and finally pulled the plug on the MV2 saga...MV2 was given no "choice" to make, he was only given his "walking papers"...

He is permanetly dismissed from the team becasue of is Dec. 17th driving with no dl or revoked dl.

Why did it take 3 weeks? And why was he allowed to play in a bowl game? This is all due to the heat that Tech is recieving from ESPN and other media outlets.

I doubt the ticket has much to do with it. I'd say it's his prior screw-ups on and off the field that caused this. If it was the ticket (which happened on Dec.17), they would have suspended him before the game IF they weren't trying to circumvent what they said before about "zero tolerance". I'd say the stomp of Dumervil's knee put it over the top.
